This product was nice enough.
It did have a distinct taste, smokey maybe?
It came through the seasoning I made the dish with, which was not what I wanted or intended.
It had a good meat-texture for Tacos, and had occasional chunks of almonds.
Overall; Okay, but had a lingering taste from the product itself.

The texture is just like scrambled meat when cut up and fried.
It doesn't expire for several months.
And can be stored in room-temperature.

This product gets a MAJOR thumbs up in my book!
It doesn't resemble Aioli, it doesn't kind of taste like the "real thing"
It 100% tastes EXACTLY like regular non-vegan Aioli! :D

I've tried making my own vegan Aioli from scratch, with not so good results, that tasted nothing like actual Aioli; so I was a bit apprehensive when opting to get this; fearing all vegan Aiolis tasted as unspectacularly non-Aioli.
Needless to say, once I tasted this, finding it tasted Super-Aioli-Delish, I was stoked! ^^

Ingredients: Sunflower oil *, water, garlic (8.6%), cane sugar *, mustard *, vinegar *, onion *, sea salt, sunflower protein *, guar flour *, pepper *
* = Organic ingredients.

These gummies were a bit disappointing.
Looks-wise they were not fresh-looking on the outside;
they looked like the last piece of candy at the bottom of a year old container.

Flavour-wise they had a non-distinct fake-fruity flavour.

Ingredients: Glucose syrup*, gelling agent: carrageen, acidifier: citric acid, natural flavour: lemon*, lime*, orange*, strawberry, acidity regulator: calcium carbonate, colouring: concentrate of blackcurrants*, carrots*, apple*, safflower, algae. (* = certified organic)
Allergy advice: may contain traces of wheat.

Meatiest FAKE Meat-Balls! | VEGAN FOOD-REVIEW

This product was so akin to meat in texture and flavour,
it had my gag-reflexes going.

I know many vegans seek to replicate dishes they once loved,
especially if they became vegans due to concern for animal-welfare,
and not for any disgust of the texture of their old favourite dishes themselves.

Me however, yes I became a vegan to save lives of all creatures
but also; was not a big fan of the texture and flavour of most meats.
Which made this product quite the unpleasant experience for me.

They come dried, like little croutons.
Then you simply let them soak in water for a period of time; they swell, and voila!
Instant meat-balls.

It's hard to imagine that a non-meat product could ever truly taste and feel like the real thing
but I can assure you, it truly did.

They even smell the same.
Not that it smelled much, but the faint smell there was to be found, it was meat-balls all the way.

So if you, unlike me, are looking to find the "meatiest" meat-replacement
THIS is definitely for you! ^^

They come in sizes of 300g and 1500g.
INGREDIENTS: Soy flour*, water (* = without genetic engineering!)
ALLERGY ADVICE: This product contains soya but it's glutenfree

Cola-Bottle Gummy | VEGAN CANDY-REVIEW

I've never been much of a cola-candy person.
That being said, I have tasted better and worse specimens of cola-candy,
and this was definitely one of the better.
They don't taste stale, they're incredibly smoshy and fresh-feeling, and fresh-tasting.
The only thing I didn't like, was this sensation that was left in my mouth after eating them,
of a slight insatiable thirst and overload of sugar/sweetness leaving me in NEED of liquid.
I really didn't like that feeling, it was very uncomfortable to me.

Ingredients: corn syrup, sugar, modified corn starch, acidity regulator (malic acid, citric acid, trisodium citrate), thickener (gellan), caramelized sugar, flavoring
Vegan and Allergy-Friendly
Free from lactose, gluten, gelatin, eggs, nuts and more.

Peach-Citrus Gummy | VEGAN CANDY-REVIEW

This candy is a two-for one taste-experience.
On the one side of the candy, the yellow side, it tastes like fake-lemon/citrus,
the other side, the pink side, tastes like fake-peach.

Personally, I love fake-peach flavoured candy.
Which this was a very good specimen of.
The fake-lemon/citrus, however, was not to my liking.
But that's just because I don't like that flavour in general.

It's outside is covered in sugar, it's medium tough to bite into.

glucose syrup*, sugar*, gelling agent: carrageen, acidifier: citric acid, vegan lactic acid, acidity regulator: calcium carbonate, natural flavour: lemon*, lime*, orange*, strawberry, colouring: concentrate of blackcurrants*, carrots*, apple*, safflower, algae. (* = certified organic)

6-8 Potatoes
Sesame Cooking-Oil
5 Cloves of Garlic

This dish pairs well with Loaf and fresh, finely chopped Parsley.
(Optionally, cover the dish with Parsley spice, to mix up the seasoning a bit, if you want)

How To
Peel the Garlic-Cloves, before rinsing them clean and finely chopping them.
Rinse the Potatoes, before cutting them into medallions (medium-thin, round pieces)

Set your oven to 175 Celsius/347 Fahrenheit temperature.

Get an oven-bowl, coat it's bottom and sides in Sesame Cooking-Oil.

Make a mixture of Sesame Cooking-Oil and Salt.
Use it to coat the Potato medallions on both sides.

Mix all the Potatoes and finely chopped Garlic in the cooking-bowl.
Pour a little bit of Sesame-Cooking Oil evenly over the dish,
if you want it extra mouthwatering and savoury.

And once the oven reaches the set temperature, place the bowl in the middle of the oven.
Let it bake for 30-40 minutes or more.
(Check now and then if the potatoes are baked all the way through)

and VOILA!

Saturday, 12 November 2016

3-4 Potatoes
4 Carrots
1 clove of Garlic

This is an amount that I would make for a dinner for 2 people, second helpings and all.
For more dinner-guests;
You should probably double up and/or calculate how much of each ingredient you'll need :)

This dish pairs perfectly with My Red Wine Sauce Recipe,
for a Grand Holiday Dinner. ^^

How To
Peel potatoes and carrots, the rinse clean,
before cutting them into medallions(medium thick, round slices)
Peel the clove of garlic, rinse clean and finely chop.

Set your oven to 200 Celsius/ 392 Fahrenheit.

Using an oven-bowl
(one of those bowls made of porcelain/glass/metal, that are made especially to cook/bake things in the oven, and able to withstand the process)
Add potatoes, carrots and garlic,
and pour water in the bowl until all of the ingredients are covered in water.
Then sprinkle some pepper and some salt evenly all over the dish.
(ca. 1 tablespoon of each)

When the oven has reached the set temperature, put the dish in the middle of the oven.
Let it bake for 30 minutes or more
(check now and then, if the vegetables are properly cooked all the way through)

Optionally, let the dish slow-bake over a days time,
at a lower temperature, to let the vegetables soak up those yummy flavours to the max ^^

and VOILA! ^^

3/4 of a Bottle of Wine
2 Shallot Onions
1 Teaspoon Vegetable Bouillon-Powder

(I used a Bottle of Alcohol-Free L-Cabernet Sauvignon from Leitz winemakers)

I've been a MAJOR Red Wine Sauce SUPERFAN,
from the instant I introduced my taste-buds to it.
And now being a Vegan,
I've been hoping I'd be able the re-create the same AMAZING flavour
that made me fall in love with it,
fearing the lack of meat-pour off would be the nail in the coffin to finding those flavours.

I was wrong! :D

This red wine sauce is so delish,
it's actually BETTER than any I've ever had as a non-vegan! :D

It's a Perfect pair with my Holiday Vegetables Recipe.
Hope you'll love it, just as much as I do! ^^

How To
Peel the outer-layer off the Shallots.
Then rinse them, before cutting them into medium bits; not finely-chopped, nor rough big chunks.

Pour the wine into a casserole, add the Shallots.
Heat up at a medium temperature for 5 minutes.
(at 2 minutes, add the Bouillon-Powder)
Then boil (small, occasional bubbles) at top temperature, while stirring for ca. 5 minutes.

and VOILA! ^^
a BEAUTIFUL Red Wine Sauce, Your taste-buds will ADORE You for! ^^

Soy-Milk (3-4 dl/ 1,26-1,69 cup)
1 and 1/2 Tablespoon Sugar
1 Tablespoon Cocoa-Powder
Chocolate Pieces of Your Choosing

I've not been feeling so great this week, and my Mom made me my first EVER
Vegan Cup of Hot Chocolate.

It was a bit bland at first, and wasn't really overwhelming enough in it's Chocolate-flavour,
so I decided to EXPERIMENT; and drop a couple of pieces of Chocolate in the Warm concoction. And It Turned out SOOO YUMMY! :D
No less yummy than any non-vegan hot chocolate! ^^

This is how to make this magical little pick me up;
Add Cocoa-Powder, Sugar and Soy-Milk in a casserole. Heat it up.
Stir while heating. Once boiled to bubbles, take it off the stove, and pour in a cup.
Then add 3-4 pieces of chocolate, and let it melt in the hot chocolate.
Stir together.

And VOILA! ^^

The reason I've named this drink Lumpy Space Princess Hot Chocolate is because of the lumpy consistency that happens when the chocolate melts.
I like using a drinking-straw, and sipping it, encountering little chunks of chocolate as I go.
LUMPY Space Princess-FABULOUS! ^^

8 Potatoes

I've always been a huge lover of potatoes, and especially the Christmas-kind.
This recipe is a personal favourite and original of mine,
I hope you'll love it just as much as I do! ^^

They pair perfectly with slices of loaf;
I like using the potatoes as a paste on top of the loaf,
or coating the loaf in the remaining sesame-oil in the pan.
Unbelievably Yummy! ^^

It's perfect as a side-dish, and it can stand it's own ground as a main-dish or snack.

How To
Rinse the potatoes clean.
Then cut the potatoes into thin medallions.
(like potato-chips in size/shape, but a little bit thicker)

Set your oven to 175 Celsius/347 Fahrenheit.

Take a cooking-plate
(bowl or plate made of glass or porcelain, that is designed to withstand baking things in oven)
Lace it in a layer of Sesame-Cooking-Oil,
both bottom and sides, to prevent burning.

Take a bowl, pour some Sesame-Cooking-Oil in it, and add some salt.
Use this concoction to coat each potato-slice individually, before placing them on the cooking-plate.
Place all of the slices on the plate, covering it fully, and stacking them on top of each other.

Top the dish with large quantities of Parsley-Spice, covering the slices.

Once the oven has heated up to it's set temperature:
Place a baking-sheet on your metal oven-plate, then place the cooking-plate in the middle of the oven-plate; and place the oven-plate in the middle of the oven.
Let it bake for 20-30 minutes, or more, check on it from time to time,
to make sure they've cooked all the way through.

and VOILA! ^^

Monday, 31 October 2016

This Recipe, I improvised and came up with, just yesterday.
It turned out so well, I HAD to share! :D

2 tablespoons freshly, finely chopped Ginger-root
1 whole Lemon
1 teaspoon chili-oil
1 teaspoon sesame-oil
ca. 5-7 tablespoons of Soy-Sauce
3 handfuls of Brown-Rice Noodles
2-3 handfuls of Snow Peas, sliced in half
4 cloves of finely chopped Garlic
1/2 teaspoons of finely chopped chili
Sesame-Seed Cooking-Oil
1/2 dl (0,21cups) of Water
2-3 Teaspoons of Vegetable Bouillon-Powder
1 Yellow Onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon Maple-Syrup
1 teaspoon churned Pepper

Take a casserole, fill it with water, add the noodles, let them rest in the cold water for at least 5 minutes, before starting to boil them.
Then put it on high, and boil until they are soft. (check up on them from time to time)
Once done, pour off the water. Leave Noodles in casserole.

Pour a generous amount of Sesame-Seed Cooking-Oil in a frying-pan, add the freshly chopped Garlic, Chili and Ginger-Root, and fry on a little above medium heat for a little while. To get the aromas out and mixed together nicely. Put the frying-pan aside for a sec, so it won't burn while you fix the remaining ingredients.

Measure up the 1/2 dl of Water, Add the Bouillon-Powder to it.

Take the casserole with the Noodles, add Sesame-Oil, Chili-Oil, Soy-Sauce, Maple-Syrup, Pepper and Water with Bouillon-Powder. Mix Together. Then cut the Lemon in half, remove the seeds, and squeeze the Lemon-Juice out of it, onto the Noodles. Mix Together.

Take the frying-pan, and add the Snow-Peas and Yellow Onion to the frying-pan. Let it fry together for a tiny while. 1-2 minutes. The Snow-Peas should remain slightly firm, whilst the Yellow Onion should get slightly soft. Then add the Noodle concoction. Fry/Cook together in the pan for a couple of minutes. Until everything has mixed together nicely, and the Yellow Onion is as Soft as can be.

And VOILA! ^^

This dish isn't spicy, or unpleasantly hot to the taste. It has a round, savoury flavour.
Perfect for any meal of the day, or as a yummy snack.
I Hope you'll like it as much as I do! ^^

My Mother Works Hard and Gets Up Before Dawn Every Day, To Drive a Long Way Get To Work.
I Remember All Too Well How Hard It Is To Have To Wake Up Way Too Early, And Have To Make a Long, Exhausting Drive To Get To School; And How That Affects The Spirit To Make a Good, Well-Thought Out Lunch To Cheer You Up And To Look Forward To Every Day.

After Seeing Her Numerous Times, In a Rush, Trying To Scramble Together Lunch, Before Running Out The Door In The Morning. I Decided That I Should Start Making Her Lunches, If She Wanted.
She Did. ^^

I'll Be Documenting Each Lunch I Make For Her On This Blog, and Maybe It I'll Inspire Others To Try The Lunch Combos I Made For My Mom, Themselves. Or Maybe Reading About Others Lunches, Will Inspire Others To Get VEGAN Lunch-Creative Themselves! ^^

Frozen Chocolate Banana | ORIGINAL RECIPE

Vegan Chocolate

This Recipe Is All My Own, I Hope You'll Love It Just As Much As I Do! ^^

How To

The Bananas
Take However Many Bananas That You'd Like
(I Usually Go For One or Two Per Chocolate-Bar)
Peel Them, Cut Them Into Little Medallions, and Place Them On a Plate.

The Chocolate
Take The Chocolate, Break It Up Into Pieces, Place It In a Soup-Bowl.
Take a Boiler The Same Circumference As The Bowl, Fill It Half Full With Water.
Put The Bowl Of Chocolates On Top Of The Boiler, As If a Lid.
Set The Heat To High, And Let It Boil Until It's Hot,
And You See It's Hot Enough For The Chocolate To Start Melting.
Use a Spoon To Fiddle With The Chocolates, To Check Their Melting-Progress. (NOT PLASTIC)

Use a Spoon To Collect and Pour The Chocolate On Top of The Medallions.
Once You've Achieved Desired Amount of Chocolate On Top Of Every Piece Of Banana.
Place The Dish In The Freezer.

Wait a Short While, Then You're Good To Go
Eat Directly Off of Your Plate

Moo-Free Ice-Cream | Trying New Recipes

Ingredients Used
Frozen Bananas
Vegan Chocolate
Frozen Strawberries

Banana Choc Yum
I've Had This Thing For a While, Where I Take Cold Bananas, And Cover It With Melted Chocolate, Then Freezing It. PURRFECT Dessert! ^^

This Dish Tasted a Little Bit Like That.
Not As Much As I'd Like. But It Resembled.

It Didn't Taste Like "Ice-Cream" At All.
It Tasted Like Smoothie. a Good Smoothie, Just Like The Stuff I Used To Buy At The Local Café.
But Still, Not Ice-Cream.

I Didn't Have Red Currants (Sadly, Cause I Am Such a Fan)
So I Decided To Make One Batch Of Chocolate Moo-Free Ice Cream, and One Of Strawberry.

I Must Say, Combining The Two, Was The Best.
And I Preferred It To Eating The Two Flavours Separately.

Too Peanut'y
For Me, This Dish Was Too Peanut'y In Flavour.
The Fact That The Sauce Turned Out To Be Very Dry, And a Bit Flavourless, Also Made It Just An Okay Dish, Not a New Fav.

When Making It, It Said That One Tablespoon of Chili-Oil Would Be Dangerously Close To Making It Too Hot For Some. I Gotta' Say, It Wasn't Hot at All. And I'm Sensitive To Spicy-Foods.
So If You're a BIG BIG Spicy-Fan, Go BANANAS With The Chili-Oil, When Making This Dish.
OR, Take My Mom's Advice Below, Post-Cooking! ;)

I Think This Dish Is Perfect For People Who Prefer Peanut-Flavours,
And Who's Nit Too Big On Runny Sauces.

My Mom Thought This Dish Was Okay, And She Recommends To Add Plenty of Sesame-Oil, Soy-Sauce and Chili-Oil When Creating Your Portion. She Says This Made The Dish Fisty'er and More Savoury, and Resulted In a Rounder, Warmer Taste-Experience.

I Paired This Dish With The Explore Asian, Pad Thai Brown Rice Noodles
